Golden hour and blue hour
The softest light for photos comes in the hour before sunset, when the sun is low and warm. Just after sunset comes the blue hour, when the sky turns deep blue and candles and lights start to glow.
On the Atlantic side, Miami Beach faces east, so the sunset is behind the city and the sea turns pink and lilac. On the Gulf Coast the sun sets over the water itself.

Weather in South Florida
Summer afternoons often bring short storms. We check the forecast one to two days before, and moving the time or the date is written into every contract. If you cannot move the date, some setups can be built indoors at your home or hotel.
How far ahead to book
Book at least two weeks ahead for a proposal, and earlier for weekends in high season. We still take last-minute requests when the team and the place are free.
