Apply together, in person
A Florida marriage license is issued by the Clerk of Court in any Florida county, and it is valid anywhere in the state. Both of you go to the county court office together and bring a valid photo ID.

If neither of you lives in Florida, there is no waiting period. Many couples who fly in pick up the license in the morning and marry at sunset.
If one of you is a Florida resident, the license takes effect three days after it is issued. Completing a registered premarital preparation course removes the wait.
The officiant files it
